All Endings in No, I'm Not a Human

Discover all 10 possible endings and learn how to unlock each one. This guide provides unlock conditions and strategies while keeping major plot points spoiler-free.

Overview

Understanding the Endings System

No, I'm Not a Human features 10 distinct endings that are determined by your decisions throughout the game. Your choices about who to admit, who to trust, and how to respond to critical moments will shape which ending you receive.

Most endings are reached after completing Day 5 in the demo and VHS version, though some can occur earlier depending on specific actions. The ending you unlock depends on three key factors:

  • Who survives — The number and identity of humans remaining in your shelter
  • Visitor count — How many visitors you allowed inside versus kept out
  • Critical decisions — Specific choices made during pivotal moments

Ending Categories

The endings can be broadly categorized into:

  • Best Endings — Perfect or near-perfect outcomes requiring careful play
  • Good Endings — Positive outcomes with some compromises
  • Bad Endings — Survival with significant losses
  • Worst Endings — Catastrophic failures
  • Special Endings — Unique scenarios triggered by specific actions

⚠️ Spoiler Warning: While we've minimized major plot spoilers, the sections below contain specific unlock conditions and ending requirements. Read at your own discretion.

Complete Endings List

1. Keen Eye (Best Ending)

Unlock Condition: Save all humans and keep out all visitors

  • Achieve a perfect run by correctly identifying and rejecting every visitor
  • All human characters must remain alive and in the shelter
  • Do not let a single visitor enter under any circumstances
  • Requires exceptional observation skills and knowledge of visitor tells

Strategy: Master the Look-Listen-Verify routine from the Quick Start guide. Use energy wisely to test every guest thoroughly. Cross-reference TV broadcasts with visitor stories.

2. Peace of Mind (Good Ending)

Unlock Condition: End with all humans alive but eliminate at least two visitors

  • Maintain all human residents safely
  • Successfully identify and eliminate at least 2 visitors who entered
  • More forgiving than Keen Eye, as it allows some visitors to enter if caught later

Strategy: Focus on keeping humans safe first. If you accidentally admit a visitor, use daytime investigations to expose them. Check the Tips & Tricks guide for detection methods.

3. Worst Ending

Unlock Condition: Allow more than three visitors into the house

  • Triggered when visitor count exceeds 3
  • Results in you being the last human among visitors
  • Generally considered the "bad end" scenario
  • Can happen accidentally if you're not careful with admissions

Strategy: To avoid this ending, maintain a strict admission policy. When in doubt, reject visitors. It's safer to turn away questionable guests than risk overflow.

4. Yes, I'm Alone (Early Ending)

Unlock Condition: Lie to the Pale Man about being alone when you have guests

  • Can be triggered as early as Night 3
  • Occurs when the Pale Man asks if you're alone and you answer dishonestly
  • Having residents inside but claiming you're alone triggers this ending
  • Results in immediate game over

Strategy: The Pale Man appears on nights 3, 5, 9, and 11. Always answer truthfully about your household status, or ensure you're actually alone if you plan to claim so.

5. Speedrun Ending (Special)

Unlock Condition: Skip dialogue and rush through the game

  • Triggered by rapidly skipping dialogue and reaching the final night quickly
  • Overrides other ending conditions
  • The game "calls you out" for rushing through content
  • Meta-commentary ending that breaks the fourth wall

Strategy: To get this ending, hold skip/fast-forward during all conversations. To avoid it on serious playthroughs, engage with the dialogue normally.

6-10. Additional Endings

The game features five additional endings with varying conditions based on:

  • Specific character survival combinations
  • Different visitor-to-human ratios
  • Unique dialogue choices during critical moments
  • Special item usage or discovery
  • Interaction patterns with the cat companion

Note: To preserve the discovery experience, we're keeping these endings' exact conditions under wraps. Experiment with different strategies and see what you uncover!

Key Mechanics That Affect Endings

Critical Nights

Certain nights have special significance for endings:

  • Night 3, 5, 9, 11: Pale Man visits — must have at least one companion or answer truthfully about being alone
  • Night 4: You must not be alone or it's game over
  • Night 4 & 5: FEMA removes one person
  • Night 8 & 10: FEMA removes two people

Energy Management

Proper energy budgeting during the day affects your ability to verify guests:

  • Every investigation action costs energy (talking, examining, checking rooms)
  • Limited energy means you must prioritize suspicious guests
  • Running out of energy before testing high-priority guests can lead to bad endings

Information Gathering

The more information you collect, the better your chances of good endings:

  • Click the TV multiple times each day for extra clues
  • Listen to radio broadcasts for visitor symptom updates
  • Pay attention to ForRest store updates and new phone numbers
  • Document patterns across multiple playthroughs

Ending Achievement Tips

For Best Endings

  1. Study visitor physical tells: perfect teeth, dirty nails, red eyes, hairless armpits
  2. Require at least two pieces of evidence before making decisions
  3. Save energy for the most suspicious visitors
  4. Keep detailed notes on each visitor's story for contradictions
  5. Use the Quick Start guide's Look-Listen-Verify routine religiously

For Special Endings

  1. Experiment with different response patterns to recurring characters
  2. Try unconventional strategies like rejecting everyone or accepting everyone
  3. Interact with the cat companion in different ways
  4. Use items in unexpected situations
  5. Pay attention to subtle dialogue hints about alternative paths
